B-Rad Named Louisville Slugger Preseason A-A

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Miami Hurricanes junior lefthander Bryan Radziewski was among those recognized with Louisville Slugger preseason All-America honors, Collegiate Baseball Newspaper announced Monday.

Radziewski, who was recognized by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) with preseason All-America honors earlier in December, earned second-team recognition from Louisville Slugger.

A 2013 All-ACC first-team selection, Radziewski helped anchor the Miami pitching staff with a dominant redshirt sophomore season. The Miami, Fla., native finished the year with a team-high nine wins and a miniscule 1.78 ERA, striking out a career-high 109 batters in 91.0 innings.

He ranked among the best in the ACC in a number of pitching categories, including ERA (1.78, third), opposing batting average (.175, first), wins (nine, ninth), strikeouts (109, fourth), shutouts (two, second) and complete games (two, third).

For his outstanding campaign, the southpaw was recognized with 2013 All-America honors from Louisville Slugger (second team), Rawlings (third team) and CollegeBaseballInsider.com (honorable mention), as well as a spot on the Golden Spikes Award midseason watch list and the ABCA 2013 All-Atlantic Region first team.

Season tickets to Miami’s 2014 season at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field start for as low as $99, with a Family Plan option (two adult tickets, three youth tickets) covering all 33 home games available for just $199. For more information, visit CanesTix.com or call (305) 284-2263.
