HONORARY GAME CAPTAIN: EDGERRIN JAMES
Former Miami Hurricanes running back Edgerrin James will be the honorary captain Saturday. He is one of 15 standouts named to the 2013 ACC Football Legends Class, which will be honored during this year’s Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game weekend. An explosive runner who averaged 6.2 yards per carry throughout his career, James is one of the most successful running backs in Miami history. Though he played just three seasons in college, James totaled 2,960 yards and still has the top two single-game rushing days in school history. He ran for a school-record 299 yards against UCLA in 1998 and for 271 yards against Boston College in 1997.  He is the only running back in school history to post multiple 1,000-yard seasons and helped the Canes compile a 23-12 mark, while earning two bowl berths.

The fourth overall selection in the 1999 NFL Draft by Indianapolis, he played 11 seasons in the NFL, including his first seven with the Colts. He was named to the NFL Pro Bowl four times. He was named the 1999 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year by the AP and claimed the NFL rushing title in each of his first two seasons in the league. After leaving Indianapolis, he played three seasons with Arizona, leading the Cardinals to Super Bowl XLIII. He completed his professional career with Seattle in 2009, accumulating 12,246 career rushing yards and 80 touchdowns. He was named to the NFL All-Decade Team for the 2000s. Originally from Immokalee, Fla., James now resides in Miami.

Part of the Feeding America network consisting of 202 food banks, Feeding South Florida is the largest of nine Feeding America food banks in the state of Florida, distributing almost 35 million pounds of food annually to 949,910 individuals in need of food assistance. FSF is the leading domestic hunger relief organization in South Florida, serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties through a network of nonprofit partner agencies, including soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters, group homes and other emergency food service programs.

NFL BAG POLICY (VIEW GRAPHIC OF APPROVED BAGS)
The National Football League’s new bag policy will be in effect for all seven 2013 Miami Hurricanes home games at Sun Life Stadium. The new bag policy, which was established with fan safety and expedited entry in mind, places limits on the size and type of bags which may be brought into Sun Life Stadium. Fans may continue to carry pockets items such as keys, makeup, combs, phones, wallets and credit cards.  As part of this initiative, each season-ticket account will receive one (1) approved bag which they may use at their convenience.

Below are the NFL approved bags fans may carry into the stadium:

  • One bag that is clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and does not exceed 12” by 6” and 12” or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, fans may also carry in a small clutch bag or purse approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap.
    • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at Gate E designated for this purpose.
  • Diapers and wipes can be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family, including children, will be able to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse, providing ample storage capacity.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
