Miami-Florida State Set for Primetime on ABC
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – No. 7 Miami’s Nov. 2 ACC road game at in-state rival Florida State will kick at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised on ABC, the ACC announced Monday. It will be Miami’s eighth straight game on the ESPN family of networks in 2013.
On Sunday, Miami (6-0, 2-0 ACC) climbed three spots to No. 7 in the latest AP Top 25 and five spots to No. 6 in the USA TODAY Sports Top 25 Coaches polls. Miami is also No. 7 in both the BCS rankings and the Harris Interactive Poll. Both the Harris Interactive and USA TODAY Sports Coaches polls are part of the BCS ranking formula.
Miami is in the BCS rankings for the first time since Nov. 24, 2010, when the Hurricanes were No. 24. It is Miami’s first BCS Top 10 ranking since Oct. 18, 2009, when it was No. 10. Sunday’s ranking is Miami’s highest in the BCS since the Hurricanes were No. 3 on Nov. 13, 2005.
The Hurricanes will look for their first 7-0 start since the 2003 season when they host Wake Forest (4-3, 2-2 ACC) at noon Oct. 26 on ESPNU. Fewer than 7,000 tickets remain for Miami’s Oct. 26 home game vs. Wake Forest, which is also UM Employee Day.
