CORAL GABLES, Fla. – On the day before fall classes begin, the Miami Hurricanes held their fifth and final #CanesCamp two-a-day practice Tuesday at the Greentree Practice Fields. Tuesday culminated in practices 21 and 22 of fall camp.
“I’m enjoying camp and I’m enjoying the continuity on our staff,” second-year head coach Al Golden said. “I think everybody’s communication is better, our trust is better. We didn’t practice as well (Monday) as I would like – although it’s hard to say that as a blanket statement because a lot of guys made progress (Monday).”
The Hurricanes practiced in full pads during Tuesday morning’s session, which lasted approximately two hours. In the afternoon, the Canes practiced in jersey tops and shorts for 80 minutes.
“Overall, it’s been a very fun camp,” Golden said. “What (our players) lack in age and experience, they are making up in want-to and team maturity.”
The fall semester officially begins Wednesday on the University of Miami campus, signifying the final day of #CanesCamp. Miami’s final fall camp practice will begin at 9:25 a.m. on the Greentree Practice Fields.
Prior to the first practice head coach Al Golden, DB Ladarius Gunter, RB Davon Johnson and OL Jon Feliciano met with reporters and talked about the progress of #CanesCamp.
