CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s A eight crewfinished in first place with a time of 12:15 to lead the Hurricanesat this weekend’s Fall Freshmen Regatta on Canal 54 in Brevard County,Florida.

Miami’s men’s A eight crew finished second with a time of 11:28,while the men’s A four placed third with a time of 12:16. UM’smen’s B four placed fourth with a mark of 12:54.

On the women’s side, UM’s A four finished third with a time of16:08. The Hurricane women’s B eight placed fourth (13:27), whilethe women’s B four finished fifth (16:08).

The Fall Freshmen Regatta marked the conclusion of the fallportion of Miami’s 1998-99 crew season. The Hurricanes returnto action on March 13, 1999 at the President’s Cup Regatta in Tampa, FL.
