CORAL GABLES, Fla. – It’s almost summertime, and that means the 2012 Jim Morris Baseball Camp is open for registration! Three different camps, including day camps for players aged 6-13 and hitting and defensive/pitching camps for players aged 10-20, will offer instruction to youngsters from the most successful coaching staff and roster in college baseball.
Head Coach Jim Morris, along with assistant coaches Gino DiMare, J.D. Arteaga and Lou Palmisano, will be hosting the camps intended for aspiring ballplayers of all ages and skillsets.
Day camps (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) begin in early July, and are expected to sell out quickly. Day camps stress fundamentals of throwing, catching, running and team concepts. Campers are divided by age and ability for games, with group instructions and individual attention, and prizes will be raffled off daily. There are three different day camps open for registration (July 2-6, July 9-13, July 16-20), and each is priced at only $235.00.
The hitting camp, intended for players ranging from 10-20, is scheduled for July 23-24 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.), and is priced at only $175.00. The special two-day camp will feature fundamentals, drills and techniques of hitting that are taught to current Miami Hurricane stars.
The defensive/pitching camp will feature technique, instructional drills, and a defense-only pro-style workout. This two-day camp is also priced for only $175.00, and is set for July 25-26 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.).
