Flores is 1-0 in Amelia Island

CORAL GABLES, Fla. –  Gabriel Flores and Diego Soto of the University of Miami men’s tennis team participated in the Ravenswood Winery Amelia Island Futures Championships today while Santiago Nieto, Omar Aly and Victor Mauz played in the Clay Court Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

Flores and Soto traveled to Amelia Island, Fla., for the Futures Championships. Flores had a great day winning his only match over Benjamin Adrian in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-1. He will face Mac Styslinger tomorrow.

Soto was unable to win his only match against the No. 14 seed, Austin Smith. He lost to Smith in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-2.
