Victor Mauz 2012-13 match-by-match
Fall: 7-3 singles, 1-3 doubles. Spring: 6-11 singles, 0-2 doubles. 
Completed his senior campaign with a 6-11 singles record… Notched three wins against opponents on ranked teams… Recorded a 3-5 record at No. 4, 2-4 at No. 5 and 1-1 at No. 6… Was the only senior player on Miami’s roster… Played at No. 3 doubles with Wilfredo Gonzalez vs. then-top-ranked Virginia… Also partnered with Marco Stancati at No. 3 doubles against then-No. 54 UNC in ACC Championships… Posted a 7-3 overall singles fall match record… Partnered with Jack Murphy in three doubles matches winning one… Posted a four-match singles winning streak which included a win over Will Neuner of FAU (6-7, 7-5,6-4) to advance to the semifinals of the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational.

Summer 2012 
Competed in seven tournaments in France … Collected three wins over minus 15 ranked French players and four wins over minus 15 ranked individuals.

Fall: 5-5 singles, 2-5 doubles. Spring: 9-11 singles, 3-12 doubles. 
Posted a 8-9 singles record with a 2-6 mark in the ACC … Played in two (1-1) matches at No. 4, was 2-4 at No. 5 and 5-4 at No. 6 … Was 3-10 in doubles, 12 of which were played in the No. 3 position … Defeated Wake Forest’s Alex Tsai in the No. 6 position to help Miami to its only ACC win of the season. The team score for the match was 3-3, and it was up to Mauz to seal the win for his team. In the biggest comeback of his career, Mauz took down Tsai 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (1) after trailing his opponent 4-0, 40-love with Tsai serving in the third set … Won three-straight singles matches in late February, then three more in mid-March … Earned back-to-back doubles wins against New Mexico with Henrique Tsukamoto and South Florida with Marco Stancati. Fall 2011 –  Provost’s Honor Roll (3.75 GPA/semester) … Dean’s List (3.5 GPA/semester) … AD Honor Roll (3.2 GPA/semester) … Book Buster (3.0 semester). Spring 2012 – President’s Honor Roll (4.0 GPA/semester) … Provost’s Honor Roll (3.75 GPA/semester) … Dean’s List (3.5 GPA/semester) … AD Honor Roll (3.2 GPA/semester) … Book Buster (3.0 semester).

Prior to UM 
Attended Ecole de Management Léonard de Vinci (College)… Prep school was Passy St. Honoré… Won the Hauts-de-Seine Championships for 17/18 year olds… Has a 25-4 record for the French team in the last five years.

Personal 
Born June 30, 1990 … Son of Pierre Mauz and Cécile Mauz… Has one brother, Alexandre, and one sister, Alice… From Suresnes, France… Off the court, he enjoys sports, playing the guitar, reading, listening to music, and travelling… Started playing tennis at nine years old… A business major.
