Notes:
+ Of his nine career rushes/receptions of 25-yards or more, six have come after halftime.
+ Miller has seven plays of 25-yards or longer this season: 5 rushes and two kick returns (which are not listed above).
+ Against this weekend’s opponent – Virginia Tech – Miller had a breakout game last season with 163 yards and two long runs. One run was for 47 yards and another for 28 yards. Both came in the third quarter of that game. Until the Ohio State game this season (184 yards), Miller’s output against Tech was a career best.
+ Last year, the Virginia Tech defense allowed 148 yards per game on the ground. So far this season, the Hokies are fifth nationally and allowing just 58.2 yards.
+ Like UM with the loss of LB Ramon Buchanon, the Hokies lost a key defensive cog in DT Antoine Hopkins. Hopkins started the first five games of the year, had 0.5 TFL and six quarterback hurries.
+ Damien Berry went on a similar four game tear last season.  Here’s more information on his streak.
