Miami Ranked No. 21 in Latest Coaches Poll

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football team moved back into both major college football polls on Sunday. The Hurricanes are ranked No. 21 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll and No. 24 in the Associated Press Poll.

Miami (7-3, 5-2 ACC) is coming off a convincing 35-10 win at Georgia Tech on Saturday. The `Canes put up over 500 yards of offense for the second straight week, led by wide receiver Leonard Hankerson’s 132-yards receiving against the Yellow Jackets.

The `Canes are one of two ranked ACC teams this week, as Virginia Tech (8-2, 6-0 ACC) came in at No. 15 in the coaches poll and No. 14 in the AP poll.

Miami will host Virginia Tech this Saturday, Nov. 20, at 3:30 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium.

Both polls have Oregon at No. 1, Auburn at No. 2, Boise State at No. 3 and TCU at No. 4. The rest of the AP’s Top 10 is LSU, Wisconsin, Stanford, Ohio State, Nebraska and Alabama. The coaches poll’s 5-10 teams are Wisconsin, LSU, Ohio State, Stanford, Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
