UM & United Way Team Up For Text-To-Give Campaign
Oct. 5, 2010
CORAL GABLES — The University of Miami is in full swing for its annual fundraising drive to benefit the United Way. As an integral part of the South Florida community, UM prides itself on this annual partnership. This year, the University is offering a new initiative to the community at large that would like to participate and help the University raise funds to benefit the United Way.
Join UM President Donna E. Shalala and Hurricanes Football Coach Randy Shannon in showing your support for the United Way this Saturday during the Hurricanes football game vs. FSU by texting “MIA” to 864833 anytime between October 6 and October 9. Your $5 dollar “text-to-give” donation will help improve education through the United Way’s community plan. Confirm your donation by replying “yes.” (Note that message and data rates may apply.)
The University of Miami is the largest private research institution in the southeastern United States. The University’s mission is to provide quality education, attract and retain outstanding students, support the faculty and their research, and build an endowment for University initiatives. www.miami.edu
