HOCUTT, SHANNON FEATURED AT UM ALUMNI ASSOCIATION EVENT WEDNESDAY

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt and Head Football Coach Randy Shannon will be featured at the UM Alumni Association’s Winner’s Circle, Wednesday, Apr. 7 from 6-8 p.m. at the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.

The reception is part of the UM Alumni Association’s initiative that enables alumni, parents and friends nationwide to meet University leaders and hear their vision for the future.

The reception and program features Hocutt, who in 2008 took the reins of the University of Miami’s storied intercollegiate athletic program, bringing a wealth of experience that is propelling the program to even greater heights.

Shannon, who is fresh off his second straight bowl appearance as a head coach and who guided Miami to its first nine-win season since 2005, also will speak at the reception. Under Shannon’s guidance in 2009, Miami finished the season 9-4 and ranked No. 19 in both the USA Today Coaches and Associated Press polls.

The Riverside Hotel is located at 620 East Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
