Jacory Harris to Have Hand Surgery
Jan. 5, 2010
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami sophomore quarterback Jacory Harris will have a routine surgical procedure performed on his right hand Wednesday.
It is protocol for UM student-athletes to meet with athletic training and UM medical staff at the end of the season for examination. During the examination with Harris, it was determined it was in his best long-term interest to have the routine procedure.
Harris completed 242-of-406 passes for 3,352 yards and 24 touchdowns in 13 games for the Hurricanes this season. He became the seventh Miami quarterback to throw for 3,000 yards in a single season. He completed 59.6 percent of his passes and had a 140.1 passing efficiency.
