Jason Hagerty, Junior, Baseball
In a series against ACC rival Clemson and a mid-week game with Florida Atlantic, Hagerty batted .384 with 4 RBI, 5 runs scored, and 2 home runs. He currently has a 13-game hit streak dating back to March 25. Hagerty, who is batting a .333 average on the year, is the current the team leader in RBI (37) and runs scored (36) and is second in home runs (8).
Ignacio Taboada, Freshman, Men’s Tennis
Taboada recently became the first Miami freshman to collect 20 wins in a season since Josh Cohen did it in 2003-2004 for the Hurricanes. He has won his last four singles matches, all against ACC opponents. Taboada, who was named the “Muscle Milk Student Athlete of the Week” this past week, is 20-11 and 5-3 in conference play on the year.
Jason Santana, Senior, Baseball
In a game against Florida Atlantic, Santana pitched a career-high seven innings, allowing just five hits and one earned run to collect the win. He has pitched against FAU three times this season, winning all three decisions. Santana currently holds a perfect 6-0 record, a team high in wins, and has a 3.10 ERA in 40.2 innings pitched this season.
