Fans can Dunk a 'Cane at BankUnited Canesfest!

Coral Gables, Fla. (www. hurricanesports.com) – – Football fans will get the chance of a lifetime during Saturday’s annual BankUnited CanesFest in Fort Lauderdale, with two dunk tanks and the Hurricanes’ biggest star players ready to get soaking wet.
That’s all part of Saturday’s annual fan event, which takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. at War Memorial Auditorium (800 NE 8th Street in Fort Lauderdale, 954/828-5380). Admission is free (parking is $5).
The entire football team will attend BankUnited CanesFest, but eight star players have “volunteered” to sit in the dunk tank: QBs Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman, RB Javarris James, WR Lance Leggett, OLs Derrick Morse and Jason Fox, DE Calais Campbell and S Kenny Phillips.
BankUnited CanesFest will feature inflatable games for kids, contests, a player autograph session, a Q&A with head coach Randy Shannon, Sebastian the Ibis and the University of Miami Cheerleaders. In addition, fans can purchase tickets, merchandise and apparel. WQAM will broadcast live from BankUnited CanesFest.
