- MSU’s Brad Corley’s pair of three-run homeruns in the bottom of the first and third innings were his fourth and fifth homeruns of the season and marked the second two-homerun game of his career.
- Corely’s six RBI set a career-high.
- MSU’s Thomas Berkery’s double to right-center in the bottom of the third inning was his 18th of the season.
- MSU’s Brad Jones’s homerun in the bottom of the sixth was his fifth of the season.
- The Bulldog’s Mitch Moreland pinch-hit homerun to lead off the seventh inning was his second homerun of the season.
- MSU starting pitcher Alan Johnson was credited with the second complete game of the season, however it was Johnson’s first nine-inning complete game of the season. He recorded a complete game earler this season in a seven-inning shortened game against Tennessee April 3. The complete game was the fourth of his career.
