Coral Gables, Fla (www.hurricanesports.com) — – The annual University of Miami Football Banquet, co-sponsored by the Miami Touchdown Club and the Hurricane Club, will be held Thursday, December 16 at the Radisson Mart Plaza Convention Center, 711 NW 72nd Avenue (west of MIA, off SR836).

The 2004 senior class will be recognized, and individual awards in a variety of categories including team most valuable player, will be announced. Don Bailey Jr., a former UM lineman and color analyst of WQAM’s radio broadcasts, will serve as Master of Ceremonies at the banquet.

Advance tickets to the banquet are priced at $65. A limited number of “premier” tables are available for $1,000. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Hurricane Club at 305/284-6699 in Miami-Dade County. Fans calling from outside the local area may call 1-800-GO-CANES (option 6). Advance sale will take place until December 9. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of the event for $80.

In its 39th year, proceeds from the Miami Football Banquet benefit the UM Hurricane Club and the Miami Touchdown Club’s “Operation Scholarship” program.
