Miami-FSU Autographed Gameball Available At Official Canes Auction

CARLSBAD, Calif., – Throughout the school year, Miami fans can bid on a number of unique items and experiences at the Official Canes Auction. This week’s featured item is the official gameball from Miami’s inaugural ACC victory over rivals Florida State.

Hurricane Frances may have prevented “Monday Night Football” at the Orange Bowl, but it didn’t stop the `Canes from winning their 6th in a row over the Florida State Seminoles. In an “Instant Classic,” Frank Gore rumbled 18 yards for touchdown to give UM a 16-10 overtime victory. The ball is signed by Head Coach Larry Coker and features the “U” logo. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the UM Athletic Department. The auction is part of a nationwide program with College Sports Online, which partners with Miami Athletics and nearly 160 university athletic departments and conferences to manage and maintain Official Athletic Sites.
