Hurricanes Football Team To Participate In Charity Softball Event

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – Fans of the University of Miami football team will get a chance to see the Hurricanes up close while raising money for charity this Saturday night when the Broward Sheriff’s Office Deerfield Beach District hosts a fun-filled family event and charity softball game for National DARE Day.

For the 10th consecutive year, the University of Miami football team will take on the Community Business All-Stars and UM Coaches in a benefit softball game to raise money for youth programs in Deerfield Beach. The event will take place at the Deerfield Beach Middle School athletic complex, located at 701 SE 6th Avenue. Pre-game activities begin at 5:00 p.m. and the first pitch will be thrown at 7:00 p.m. Pre-game activities include a bounce house, hayrides, and games. Tickets to the event are $1.00.

Directions to the event from Interstate 95:

*Take the SW 10th Street Exit and go east on SW 10th Street to SE 6th Avenue (if you reach Federal Highway, you have gone too far).

*Turn left on SE 6th Avenue.

*Deerfield Beach Middle School is approximately one-fourth of a mile down SE 6th Avenue on the left (701 SE 6th Ave.).
