Soccer Travels To Face No. 10 UConn

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami soccer team will put its BIG EAST first place standing on the line this weekend as they travel to face No. 10 Connecticut Friday at 7 p.m. in Storrs, Conn.
Miami is in first place in the BIG EAST Northeast Division with 10 points, while the Huskies are a close second with nine points.
The Hurricanes enter the match 7-3-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the BIG EAST after tying Syracuse two-all Sunday.
UConn is 8-1-1 overall and 3-0-0 in the conference after shutting out St. John’s 3-0 Wednesday Sept. 25.
Miami is winless when facing UConn losing by a margin of at least four goals in the last three meetings.
Miami leads the BIG EAST with 243 total shots on the season, while the Huskies have taken 159 shots this season.
Miami’s top offensive players Britney Butcher (Bothell, Wash.) and Lindsey Yach (Carrollton, Texas) rank among the top 10 in the BIG EAST in five different categories.
Butcher leads UM with 22 points, including 10 goals and two assists. Yach has 19 points including eight goals and three assists.
Kristen Graczyk leads the Huskies with 18 points with seven goals and four assists.
