Ken Dorsey, Quarterback

Q: Is your preparation for a big game different, such as in a week like this?

A: I don’t know, because my preparation has never really changed. You can’t really give a true answer if you haven’t had a feeling from both sides of the spectrum, so my preparation or the team’s preparation hasn’t changed at all.

Q: You met (Florida quarterback Rex Grossman) when you were at the Heisman (presentation ceremony) in New York. What was he like?

A: We didn’t talk that much. So we didn’t get to know each other that well, but he was a good guy and he liked competing. But I don’t know that much about him.

Q: What do Florida’s defensive backs do real well?

A: Well, they’re a fast group. They’ve got a lot of speed. They really try to make plays for their team. It’s a tough group to try and throw against.

On the in-state rivalry

A: Any time you play in-state, even when you haven’t played in a while, you still have guys who went to the same high school, so there’s definitely going to be that kind of rivalry there.

Q: You had a great game at the Sugar Bowl (in 2000), what was that like for you?

A: It was a good game. We were able to pull away in the second half – I think more in the fourth quarter – but they were a very tough team. I think they’re a much better team this year than we were two years ago when we played them so we’re anticipating a tough game and since we’ve got them at their place, it may be even more difficult.
