Samantha Scaramelino, Hallandale, FL. to2001 National Champs: Thank You for a Perfect Season.
Raul Rodriguez, Miami, Florida to Ed Reed: Congradulations on your championship and all of your personal accomplishments. I wish the best at the next level. You were a great leader here and I know you will be where ever you end up. God bless you.
Ladies/Gentlemen,
I am sending this from Seoul, Koreawhere I’m stationed with Eighth USArmy. I’ve been a Nebraska fan for 40years and obviously the NationalChampionship Game did not go as I hadhoped. Please pass on congratulationsto Coach Larry Coker and theHurricanes. You are a class act andwere without a doubt heads andshoulders above the rest of the NCAAfield. Two things stand out in my mindabout this game other than the obviousdisparity in speed (that is, EricCrouch would have probably scored on atleast one of his breakaway carriesagainst most teams but not Miami) -Miami’s fundamental hard hittingtackling and most important Miami’sdecision just before half to take aknee with seconds on the clock when KenDorsey could have easily thrown for theend zone (AKA Steve Spurrier). Ithought that was very, very classy.Again congratulations and good lucknext year.
Moses Valadez, San Antonio, TX to Ken Dorsey: I am a big fan of the Hurricanes for a very long time. I am also a graduate of UM from ’98. I am now station in San Antonio with the US Air Force. You guys make me proud. I really enjoyed the ride the past two years. I was so glad to be part of the Sugar Bowl last year and Rose Bowl this year. Hopefully, I will be at the Fiesta Bowl Next year to see all of you repeat once again. I heard Ed Reed say on ESPN that the Senior class came from that 47-0 loss at FSU team their Freshman year. Well that was my senior year and I want to congratulate all of you for turning the whole program around. It is great to be a Miami Hurricane and a NATIONAL CHAMPION. See you next year at the Fiesta Bowl in Tempe. Congrats and all of you make your fellow alumni PROUD!!!!!!!! Moses Valadez ’98
