Ticker-tape Parade, Courthouse Rally and On-Campus Celebration for 2001 National Champions

PARADE – 12:00 PM (free admission)
The National Football Champions will be honored with a tickertape parade and courthouse rally at noon on Friday, January 25, 2002. The parade will begin at Bayfront Park and stretch west on Flagler Street where it will end on the steps of the Miami-Dade County Courthouse, 73 W. Flagler Street, in downtown Miami. CAMPUS CELEBRATION – 7:00 PM (free admission)
Later that same day at 7:00 PM, the University will be hosting a celebration on the University’s Campus Green, located between the Library and the School of Law on the Coral Gables campus. Join the entire team and coaching staff in this special moment. Alumnus Roy Firestone, one of the nation’s best known sportscasters and ESPN (cable’s only all-sports network) show host, will act as the Master of Ceremonies along with former player Don Bailey and “Voice of the Hurricanes” Marc Vandermeer. Don’t miss out on this exciting event, complete with player appearances, fireworks and a live band performance by Libido! Transportation and Parking Information for the Parade:
* The Metrorail will be free of charge from campus
* Downtown lots will be open for parking with a fee
* Parade will begin at Noon
Transportation and Parking Information for the Campus Celebration:
* All campus parking lots will be open and free of charge from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (You will not be ticketed in any lots during this time).
* The campus shuttle, “The Hurry `Cane” will transport you from the parking lots to the campus green where the celebration will be held.
The Campus Celebration will be held behind the Richter Library.
