Robert Ochoa, Miami, Fl to Ken Dorsey: Thank you for staying at UM. You are NFL material. Sorry about the Heisman but i’m sure you were just holding back. Everyone jocks you. Prince Charles wants his ears back. HAHA. Congrats. GO CANES!
Jordan Dresel, Pennsylvania to Clinton Portis: I just want to say congratulations to the Miami Hurricanes for winning the National Championship. You played an excellent role in the Hurricanes winning the Title. I sure hope you come back to Miami next year to try for back to back titles. I also feel you would have a good shot of winning heisman. I read an article about how you were frustrated with NCAA Football 2002 because they didn’t have you as the starting running back. I was a little upset too so i changed and put you as the starter. In my season you gained over 4000 yards and had 80 touchdowns. You were also named the Heisman Trophy winner. I just want to say keep up the good work and even if you go pro next year i will support you and definately buy your jersey from whatever team you go to. Congratulations again.
Nick Noade, Woodhaven, MI to The entire team: It was a great day to see you guys whip the Cornhuskers and return Miami to the top of the college ranks. I am real happy and proud that you did it with character and class. Good luck in the future and for the continuing domination of Miami Hurricane football.

Kevin Kidd, Cincinnati, OH to The 2001 National Champions Team: I have always wanted to play football for ya’ll but was not givin the chance in High School no matter how hard I tryed it didn’t seem to matter. The coach would make any phone calls to any team. I cant say how proud I am of each and everyone of you as players. You worked hard and it paid off. So I can only say know that to the seniors that leave Miama and move on I would like to wish you the best of luck in what ever you do!

Fin Pendergast, Crystal River, FL to team: Should’ve played the Buccaneers, maybe a pro team would’ve had a better chance. Hate to see all the seniors and underclassmen that have decided to leave go. But thank you for a great season. National Champs. Good luck next year.
Michelle Wilson, Longwood, Florida to Entire Team: Even though I now live in Longwood (outside of Orlando) I have always been a ‘canes fan since I am Miami born and raised. It was a thrill to watch you guys this year and last year also, 12-0 says it all! I will be watching in 2002 also!

I hope that next years offensive line can do as good of a job as this years did. We had an awsome team, I am able to brag loudly among all my Seminole and Gator friends…. GO CANES!!!
Mitchell Vitrano, Avon Lake OH to Larry Coker: Dear Coach Coker,
As a Hurricane fan since 1979 (grew up in New Jersey rooting for Penn State, since Rutgers was so terrible, until Jim Kelly beat PSU), I have to tell you that this year and championship has been most satisfying. You have done a wonderful job continuing what Butch et al have started. You are correct in your statement that character was the most important attribute this year’s team had. Keep up the good work and I look for a blockbuster recruiting class, especially since Clinton, Philip and now Jeremy are leaving (don’t they want to defend the title?). I was at the Syracuse game this year and look forward to start collecting rings for “university’s other hand” next year! Thank you for an incredibly great season and keep up the good work. Let’s go get a great class with class!
Barbara Lawson, Vinton, VA to Hurricane Team and Coaches: Congratulations to all of you on a great season. I have been a Hurricane fan for 35 years and this team is probably the best I’ve seen. They definitely have the most character.
I live about 45 minutes from VA Tech and almost everyone around here is a hokie fan. Of course they all think because the score of the Tech-Miami game was so close that Tech should really be #2 right now. So my only request is that next year please try to beat Tech by 30 to 40 points so those of us who aren’t Hokie fans won’t have to listen to how good they are.Again, you are a great team and let’s do it again next year. GO CANES!!!
tino gonzalez, miami/fl to THE TEAM: THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES COACH COKER AND TEAM, NOT ONLY THE GREATEST CANES TEAM EVER BUT THE GREATEST NATIONAL CHAMPION TEAM EVER, NO DOUBT, THANX A BUNCH AND LETS DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!!!

cecil carter jr, melbourne fl to entire team: last year the bcs screwed up & gave oklahoma a championship becuase we all know miami would have killed them in our back yard, but destiny can’t be denied you all told them you would be back to claim the title and you did just that! congratulations from a true miami native (born & raised in dade) & hurricane fan
Allen Johnson, Deltona FL to Ken Dorsey: MR. Dorsey congratulations on a great season and winning the national championship. I think this was the best canes team ever i’ve been a canes fan all my life. my cousin played for them on the ’83 champinship team, Ken Sisk.
