I’ve been waiting ten years for this moment and have been through the tough times of the mid 90’s. Now you make me and the whole city proud by finally being National Champions and bringing the UM football team back to the #1 position. I congratulate you on your first season, and may I say spectacular season as head coach. I hope you will be here for a little while longer because I believe you can get it done in Miami. You were definitely the best candidate when Davis left. Thanks for the title! GO CANES!!!!!!C-A-N-E-S CANES!

jason williams, palm bay, florida, Clinton Portis: I’d like say congratulations for your greatseason! I’ve been a Miami fan since93′ when my older cousin Kenny Holmes played DE. I am going to miss ed reed. i want to be like him.he is my ideal.well that all i have to say so peace out.

carlos, jacksonville,fl to all the boys: Congrats on a long overdue championship (5)- one for the thumb-next hand please.

Selah Bishop, Born Miami live in Jacksonville/FL to All of you guys (Especially the Seniors): You guys brought back dignity and honor to the hurricane fans around the world. Not like we never left you guys. But like it the military it’s HONOR, COURAGE, and COMMITMENT. you guys displayed it all. Great Job smashing all the critics

Carlos, Miramar, FL to All: Well, its been a long time comming, ten long years. What you have accomplished this year, going undefeated, winning the nail-biters, keeping your focus, and staying allot cooler than I did while the pressure was on, says allot about the character of this team. Ten years is a long time and many “experts” thought the probation killed the program. I still have that SI issue, I laughed when I saw the Gameday crew pull it out last night. It makes me proud to be a ‘Cane, they way you did it this year, no controversy, no taunting, just good OLE fashion Hurricane football.

To the seniors:Best of luck and tons of thanks. Thanks for staying, thanks for finishing what you worked so hard in starting. You were in the lowest of lows, know enjoy the highest of highs, you deserve it.

To the underclassman:I hope you all stay healthy and safe in the off-season. Rest up and enjoy all of your accomplishments. Get your mind right, and start starving your desire, it really helps if your hungry in the spring, the championship run starts today.

To the coaches:You guys did an excellent job with this team this year. I think a lot of the questions were answered about the new coaching staff, I think it worked well and can only get better. I would have enjoyed 34 points in the second half too.

January 3rd was my perfect day, thank you for putting icing on my cake, literally. It was my Birthday, I found out I was going to have a baby boy, that’s what made the day perfect, and you guys iced the cake and brought home some crystal!

Congratulations, National Champions!!!

GO CANES!!!

Rene Caplan, : Mullins S.C: All players & staff: This entire season pointed toward the Canes winning this title. You finally beat FSU at Doak Campbell, you finally beat washington, for the first time since 92′ you beat the hokies in Blacksburg, you were ranked #1 in the BCS at season’s end, as for when the BCS was created all team’s that played for the title ranked #1 since it was created in 98′ have won the title, and to cap it off you beat the team that last took the title from Miami in 95, Nebraska. This was the Hurricanes season, no doubt. I knew this team was destined for greatness when Bobby Bowden said that this team was just like his 1999 national championship team, after he made that statement, it was all over from then on, those bowdens know their football. Congratulations to all, on a memorable season, it has been ten years since you all won, that is when I became a fan of college football and a fan of the miami hurricanes. It’s great to be #1 again.

David, Boca Raton, Florida to The whole team: Being a diehard UM fan and an alumni of UM, this team has brought such pride and respect back to UM. Ricky Chamness, Mt. Pleasant, Tx, Chris Campbell Sorry you didn’t get to play in the Rose Bowl, but you guys did agreat job. Now that your famous, I hope you will come see us.

Oscar, All the UM players: I congratulate all the players who put all their effort to winthe football game against Nebraska, starting with Ken Dorsey’s pass to AndreJohnson, the interception by James Lewis for the TD, and ending the gamewith the Jonathan Vilma massive hit to Clifford Brye. I think Ken Dorsey wasright about the other day, that all the players deserved MVP of this game, because that Offensive Live would protect Dorsey, and the Defensive Line, would stop Eric Crouch and the Cornhuskers’ running game. So Far what I’veseen in ESPN Classic, of all the National Championships that the Canes haveplayed, starting from the 1983 Hurricanes and continuing to the 2001Hurricanes, this is probably the best team in Hurricane History, andprobablty the best team in NCAA History, b/c there such a young team andmost of the starters are juniors and sophmores, and only a few seniors, suchas Nebraska had more than 20 seniors on the team, while the Hurricanes, havearound 10, and 7 are star!

Mark Ardois, Sunrise, FL, Sean Taylor & Buck Ortega: Great Job guys. I’m sure you guys will win a few more beforeyour done. God Bless You. Your old B-Ball Coach, Coach Ardois.
