Former Miami Football Greats Compete In Hurricane Legends Golf Classic

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The Hurricane Legends Golf Classic will be held Friday, April 6th, at the Biltmore Golf and Country Club in Coral Gables. Tee-off time is 1 p.m. with a best ball, five-man scramble format. Head Coach Larry Coker and his staff will be in attendance alongside a host of other celebrities and former UM stars. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Student Athlete Scholarship Fund.
The Hurricane Legends Golf Classic will be the kick-off to celebrity weekend. Celebrities will be matched along side foursomes for the day. Celebrities set to tee-off include: Gino Torretta, Craig Erickson, Rusty Medearis, Nick Williams, Darrell Fullington, Twan Russell, Darryl Williams, Greg Laffere, Bubba Franks, Robert Bailey, Ryan McNeil, George Mira Sr., George Mira Jr., Cleveland Gary, Don Bailey Jr., and Andre King just to name a few.
The day will begin with a catered lunch by Fuddruckers. Golfers will enjoy a variety of food items from 3 different restaurants in addition to complimentary beverages on every hole. After golf, participants will be treated to a steak dinner compliments of Hurricane Bar and Grill. In conjunction with dinner the auction will take place, awards will be given, and raffle winners will be announced. Single entry is available for $250 per person and $1,000 per foursome, with corporate sponsorship opportunities available.
