Miami Looks Sharp In Day Two Of Spring Practice
March 21, 2001
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – Crisp execution and an upbeat attitude mark the second day of Spring practice as the Miami Hurricanes practiced for two hours in shorts and shells in sunny but windy conditions at the Greentree Practice Field.
“We’re moving right along and we’re off to an excellent start,” Coker said. “It was nice to see Howard Clark back to day at weakside linebacker. And we’ve looked good while installing the basics of our game on both sides of the ball. I’ve been very impressed with our mental approach and our conditioning is excellent. I’m very encouraged.”
Clark, a junior who missed Tuesday’s practice, was back at work on Wednesday at linebacker. Coker also announced that redshirt freshman wide receiver Anthony Johnson has withdrawn from the University and is no longer on the football team.
The Hurricanes take Thursday off before resuming practice Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. at the Greentree Practice Field on the UM campus. All workouts this week are open to the public.
