All Seniors from Jeff Cohen, Memphis, TN
I was born and raised in Miami and have been a Hurricane fan my entire life. This senior class has more to be proud of than any team in the history of Hurricane football. This group of guys took a team that looked like the glory years were gone forever and turned it around faster than anyone could have ever imagined. Through those tough years I always still supported the team and always cheered my heart out. This group of seniors have made it possible for all Cane fans to cheer proud again and look forward to the start of football season. You have also brought back the the recruiting Miami once had. All those high school players would be proud to play for a team that produced Dan Morgan, Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, and all of you seniors. The program is back and we have you guys to thank. Good luck to all of you in the future. Those of you who make it to the NFL I will watch and cheer you all on as if you were still wearing the orange and greeen. Eve!n those who might become Cowboys, I’ll cheer for a little. Thank you all for a great four years and for giving the univerity its pride back. Only a classy group of players could have pulled that off and I can’t think of a better group than this one. We will miss all of you but, because of you, the next class will play even harder to match your expectations. I know we can not expect great things from Hurricane football for years to come. Congratulations on a fantastic season.

Santana and Reggie from Melinda and Melissa Blanco, Miami, FL

Santana Moss from Shane Maynard, Beckley WV
Dear Santana,
I’m a huge Hurricanes fan and have ben since i was young, i’m now 15. I really hope that you all get a chance to play for the national title i beleive that you guys are the best team and could win it. I live in West Virgina and went and to the Miami-WVU game i was so glad that you guys put a beating on the Mountaineers i went with one of my friends and we both had Hurricane clothes on i had your jersey on and my friend had a Miami shirt. It was a good game. We got cussed so many times and almost got beating up but i didn’t care i loved walking out of the stadium after you all beat them 47-10. And in school my same friend and I had to write a story and we wrote one about you Ken Dorsey and Dan Morgan. Our teacher said that it was really good and that she was going to ask her rich mother if shw would give us money and that she would take us to the Orange Bowl game but i seriously dout that will happen but i can always dream. I hope you can email me back ….one of your bigge!st fans Shane Maynard….PS i hate FSU that was a great win…congratulations on a outstanding season

ALL CANES SENIORS from J. Busey, Racine, WI
Thanks for bringing the Canes back to national prominence. There are those of us who never gave up with you. Win this last one and don’t worry about the BCS. We know who is the BEST. This championship will make a handful of rings. Beat that FSU!

James Jackson from Sean Janis, Lancaster, NY
I am going to be moving up to the varsity level of high school football next year. I was wondering what kind of strength and speed training I should do to help my chances of starting. Is it better to bench and squat only like once or twice a week? What is best for someone like me who is around 15 years old? I played running back in my JV season and always ran hard to the hole, but I need to be quicker. I would really appreciate if you could help me out. Thanks for your time.

ALL THE SENIORS from BRANDON DICKMAN, EAST HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT
I JUST WANT TO SAY GOOD LUCK ON THE REST OF THE SEASON AND IN THE FUTURE. I HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOOTBALL FOR 11 YEARS AND ONLY DREAMED ABOUT PLAYING FOR MIAMI, I WAS ALWAYS IN SHADOWS. JUST WANT TO CONGRADULATE YOU GUYS ON YOUR SUCESS.

MIAMI#1

Santana Moss from Stefano Fusaro, Coral Gables, FL
Santana,
I am one of the biggest HURRICANES fans you will ever meet. I have enjoyed watching your explosiveness on the field. It is a shame that you are a senior and you have to leave the team. But, i am sure that wherever you go , whether it be the NFL, or any other place, you will represent the Hurricanes with pride.
I am also from a very soccer orientated family. We are from the country of Argentina. In Latin America, the soccer players have a lot of pride for there college teams. When they go pro they wear the shirt of there alma mater under there jersey. I know since you have so much pride in being a Hurricane, maybe you will do that if you go pro. Santana, you are the best receiver in the country right now, it makes sense because you are a Hurricane. Go out there and get a National Championship for the whole city of Miami. But especially for you guys. I will be there for the BC game, and hopefully for the Orange Bowl game, if you guys go. Good Luck!!!If you have time would you write back? Thanks.
Stefano Fusaro

Dan Morgan from Justin, Orlando, FL
Dear Dan,
I am a sophomore high school football player in the state of Florida.I tape all your games so I can compare my play to yours on film. I see what I should have done to shed the block by watching you get around the blocker. I attempt to model my around yours.Every time I get blocked out of a play in a game I think what you might have done. I know I will not have the stregnth you have and I definitely will not have the speed you possess but I will work hard to play college football in any division. I just wanted you to know that you are my greatest inspiration in sports. Thank you
– Justin, Orlando

James Jackson from Dwight Heard, West Palm Beach
JJ thanks for staying your last year of eligibility. I enjoyed watching you on Saturdays and especially beating FSU on your last try. Good luck for the remainder of the season and next year’s draft.

Dan Morgan from Mike, Stuart, Fl
Hey whasup Dan. Just wanted to congratulate you on your success and also the success of the team this year. I have been an avid Canes fan since I was born. My dad went to UM on a baseball scholarship in 1968. I’ve enjoyed watching you in the Orange Bowl over the years and I look forward to many more games in the near future. I hope you guys don’t get screwed over in the BCS..I’m pretty fired up about that. Congratulations on you First Team honor. Also look for me Saturday against BC…I’ll be in section 15 on top with a sign that says “Dorsey For President”. I brought the sign to the V tech game but didn’t get on Game day or ESPN so maybe I’ll get lucky this week. But I’m out and congrats and GO CANES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALL THE SENIORS!! from MIKE CASEBOLT, DES MOINES IA
I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF THE HURRICANES FOR OVER 20 YRS NOW AND I’M VERY PROUND OF YOU GUYS FOR HANGING IN THERE AND BRINGING THE PROGRAM BACK TO WHERE IT BELONGS…IN THE ELITE. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CAREERS AND GOD SPEED.

All from Luke Fields, Miami Springs, Florida
Even though you are the least talked about, and least appreciated team in America. It is all about who you are, and what you represent. Miami makes me proud again after they tried to take you down with sanctions you all stayed true. Now you have flourished in this country that never gives the respect you deserve and will kick you when you are down for even a split-second. I have wondered why this has been my whole life and I’m only 18, but now I have realized why this is so. Miami football represents the american dream, the best, the elite, the chosen. Kind of like Babe Ruth or Dan Marino or the 72′ Dolphins this is the kind of company that you are in and you will always be remembered as the Miami seniors who brought greatness, tradition, pride, and National Championships back to the greatest dynasty in the history of college sports the Miami Hurricanes. I waited since mid-January for this season and you have not let us down the only thing that can keep you down is lies, hatred, and by God the cheating polls. So Thank you from your #1 fan.

DAN MORGAN from Deron Erwin, , Cornelia, GA
DAN, I’ve been a cane fan since the Jim Kelly era. Over the years,I’ve seen a lot of people jump on the Hurricane bandwagon according to how they were doing during the season. Unfortuantely, some of them even for some unknown reason have degraded themselves to becoming Fla st. fans. I just wanted to thank you for choosing Miami even when things were’nt looking good for the canes. You are the best linebacker that I have ever seen in college football. I know you could have chose several other schools including Fla st but I’m thankful you came to Miami. I wish you and all of the other seniors good luck in the future and I will be looking for you in the NFL. It won’t be the same next year without you but I will still be a cane fan regardless of how they are doing. Thanks for the good weekends watching Hurricane Football and best wishes.

Reggie Wayne from Jeffrey G. from Pembroke Pines
Over so soon? Afraid so.

Seemed like yesterday you came down from Louisiana. I was amazed that you beleived so much in UM to come so far away to be here.I remember the struggles against FSU 47-0 and how I wondered if it was all over permanently for UM. But you worked and grew and grew and grew. You have become a heckuva WR and am confident you will belong in the NFL for years to come. You are a class act and a steadying influence on this team. I shudder to think where we’d be without your clutch catches. So Reggie, thank you being a part of the family. Your sacrifice and hard work has been noticed by this Canes fan.God Bless you for spending your college years with us. You deserve all the success in your future sports and life careers. And thanks for changing the tone. Nobody can ever run down our players again.Go Canes!!!!!

Brian Stinson

I don’t want to know.God Bless you for spending your college years with us. You deserve all the success in your future sports and life careers. And thanks for changing the tone. Nobody can ever run down our players again.Go Canes!!!!!

Michael StewartThank you Michael for being a part of the family. Your sacrifice and hard work has been noticed by this Canes fan.Where would we be without you and the guys that make this team hum…I don’t want to know.God Bless you for spending your college years with us. You deserve all the success in your future sports and life careers. And thanks for changing the tone. Nobody can ever run down our players again.Go Canes!!!!!

Jevon RhodesThank you Jevon for being a part of the family. You deserve all the success in your future sports and life careers. And thanks for changing the tone. Nobody can ever run down our players again.Go Canes!!!!!

Quincy Hipps
Quincy, I remember a few years ago. We were coming off that 5-6 year and you and the guys looked so painfully young and skinny. I wondered seeing you up close how you could ever hope to develop into men to take on the FSU’s of the world. Well, you did and then some!! God Bless you and thank you for a wonderful four years at UM. You came here when coming here wasn’t easy. We’ll never forget you!!!!Now proceed and layeth the smack down on FSU in the OB Classic!!!!Go Canes!!!!!

Al Blades
Al, God Bless you and thank you for a wonderful four years at UM. You came here when coming here wasn’t easy. We’ll never forget you!!!!Go Canes!!!!!

Aaron MoserThe athlete!!! Best on the team.I know the decathlon and I admire any track guy crazy enough to suit up and play Saturdays. Thanks Aaron for your help in every aspect of the game. Your unselfishness and team spirit makes this team go. As a diehard Cane fan you better believe I noticed #26.You deserve all the success in your future sports and life careers. You came here when coming here wasn’t cool. For that you and the class of ’00 will never be forgotten. Please keep coming back for the big games of ’01 and ’02 and ’03….as part of the Cane family.God Bless you and thank you for a wonderful four years at UM.And thanks for changing the tone. Nobody can ever run down our players again. Now go for 9000 points.Go Canes!!!!!

Dan MorganI remember this skinny kid who looked like my nephew. I wondered how in the hell will this kid ever be a LB. Maybe a backup fullback. What was Butch thinking on recruiting this guy?Boy, was I wrong.Your amazing hard work, dedication and drive have turned this program around. You make us proud to see you and the team act like men and champions. Warriors all!!!I remember that 5-6 year and how that team never quit in the triple overtime win at BC. It never gets talked about as one of the greatest UM wins ever but to me it was and always will be. To me the beauty of college football is not the National Chamipnship game but the regular autumn game for pride and respect fought by young men who simply love this game. I saw pride that day. I saw the germ of a championship team.
You deserve all the success in your future sports and life careers. Nobody can ever run down our players again.Dan who? Dan Morgan – best MLB ever at UM. Lavar who?Go Canes!!!!!

Nobody can ever run down our players again.Go Canes!!!!!

Will McPartlandSo who’s gonna block for us now??? Arghhh!!!!Will, thanks for your sacrifice and hard work. Thank you, Thank YOU, THANK YOU. It has been an incredible ride. You guys are the foundation on which your Great Coach built another National Championship contender. Thanks to you Miami is the team of the 21st century.

It must have been difficult in the early years but you never gave up and always conducted yourselves with class and dignity. Go out and (WIN) your last two games and remember, there is NO DOUBT that your crew is the best team in the nation…
Love you guys, #1 HURRICANES.

Happy Holidays.

Dan Morgan from Alvin Mack, St Louis, Missouri
Not much to say to you but one thing….STUD! You’re the man! You’re leadership will be missed!
Santana Moss
Great season Santana! I still believe they don’t incorperate more special plays for you. You need the ball more. With your speed and awearness, you’re deadly! Living in St Louis and a huge Rams fan, the Rams find a way to give the ball to their play makers. You’re another version of Az-Hakim. The size and speed. You’re two of a kind, only that you don’t fumble as much and you have better hands. You get the point. I’ll see you in the NFL Santana! You’d look good in the blue and gold.

Reggie Wayne fromPhil McDaniel, Mia, Fl
What’s up Reggie, this is Phil I met youthe night after the VTec game in Black Gold.I want to know what you think about theB.C.S. ranking Fl. ST over the Canes. Anddo you think we still have a change to playin the Orange Bowl for the National Title.

Santana Moss from Tony Zumpano, West Chicago, IL
I love watchin u play. ur so exciting and u bring the fun back to the game.i hope u end up with the minnesota vikings because it would be cool to see u and rancy moss play along side each other. I am a sophomore wide receiver in high school last year i had 50 catches 800 yards and 8 touchdowns in 9 games. My plan is to one day play for the hurricanes.so i f u have any time soon please write me back i am ur biggest supporter.

Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne from Will Dunn, Branchville New Jersey
Santana & Reggie,
I have to say the two of you in my opinion are the best reseving combo in college football. I have some questions for you on approving my game as a wide reciver. What should I do to build up more speed? What is the best way to shake defenders? Good luck to the two of in the bowl games coming up.
A Big Fan,
Will Dunn
Dan MorganDan,
First of all things “I hope you win the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, and the Butkus award because you deserve both of those awards.” In my own opinion you are the best linebacker in college football. Are you friends with Matt Sweeney? I go to the same high school that he did. Dan good luck to you and your team in the post season.
A big Fan,
Will Dunn
P.S. GO CANES!!!!!!

To The Whole Team (SPECIALLY TO THE SENOIRS THAT ENDURE THE HARDTIMES)from Solo, Miami Beach, FL
Well Canes I want to thank you guys for this awsome year. Specially to the near-departed seniors. I am not going to name specific senior because i believe that this is a team and there is no I in team. But i have to admit that i thank god you seniors decided 4 or 5 years ago to come to Miami you guys pick up and remodel this program and 4 years later is the best football program in the nation. Now is it sad to see you guys go but is time for the rest of the country to see you guys on sunday. So i am not that sad. I want you guys to know that no matter what happen with this stupid BCS you guys are going to be National Champions in the Heart of all the Canes Fans and some times that is the most important thing because you guys will live forever. Just remember to finish up strong because what you guys have acomplished in the last four years is hard to replace. Thank you guys and good luck in life and the NFL. GOOOOOOO CANES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Santana Moss From Ashley Williams, Windsor, Connecticut
Dear Santana,
I think that it is really messed pu that Miami isn’t in the no.2 spot for the National Campionship. I really the team and you guys played really well against Syracuse last Saturday. If you do that well the next two games and if Oklahoma loses to Kansas State then you might have a chance at the title. Well, I’ll be watching. GOOD LUCK!!!!
Your Fan,
Ashley Williams
