Miami Hurricanes Football Practice Report

Oct. 18, 2000

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The Miami Hurricanes practiced for two hours in muggy, overcast conditions as preparations continued for their clash with the Temple Owls at the Greentree Practice Field on the UM campus. The Hurricanes (4-1 overall, 2-0 in the BIG EAST) focused on their game plan for attacking the Owls, who stand 4-3 overall this season and are 1-2 in BIG EAST play.

“We had a good day of work, and that’s especially important considering we need to get off to a good start to the rest of our season,” said head coach Butch Davis. “The attitude of the team has been excellent this week. Today’s workout is usually our toughest and I’m very encouraged by what I saw out there.”

Miami’s game against Temple will be televised live by WPLG-TV Channel 10 on the BIG EAST network beginning at Noon Eastern Time. The Hurricanes resume practice Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Greentree. All practices are closed to the public. For ticket information concerning Hurricanes football, contact the UM Ticket Office at (305) 284-2263 or 1-800-GO-CANES.
