Dec. 16, 1999

Coral Gables, FL – University of Miami senior right-handed pitcher David Gil was named to the Louisville Slugger Pre-Season All-American team presented Wednesday by Collegiate Baseball newspaper. Gil, who went a perfect 12-0 last season, returned to UM for his final season after the Philadelphia Phillies selected him in the seventh round of the 1999 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.
