Wake Forest Quotes:

Head Coach George Greer: “Miami has a great program. They playedwelltonight and capitalized on their opportunities. We had some opportunitiesanddidn’t capitalize as well as we should have. Our hitting and some ofourdefense let us down tonight, but that’s not an indication of how wecan play. It’s just one of those things that happen in baseball.”

“It’s not easy to win two in a row, but we’re gonna have to do it togo on.We’ll try our best tomorrow”

John Palmieri, All American First baseman, on David Gil “He was a littlewildat the start of the game, he got behind some hitters. He just seemedtosettle down and show why he’s one of the top pitchers in the country.”

Miami Quotes:

Head Coach Jim Morris: I thought it was a great game. We had a greateffortby our team. McDougal’s got great stuff you can see why he’s a firstrounder. He absolutely ate our lunch for about four innings. He had great stuff…They’ve got an outstanding club. I can see why some people say theirstartingrotation may be the best in the country.

“We’re only halfway there we know that.”

Starting Pitcher David Gil, on his slow start, “It’s just alot of adrenaline, you come out her in a big game with a big crowd and you want to doa greatjob for your team. You come out and have the jitters, but you justhave tosettle down and start pitching.
