Coach Coker Speaks On The Status Of Football Recruiting
Jan. 31, 2001
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – “With the departure of head coach Butch Davis to the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League, our coaching staff has been working very hard to maintain our recruiting efforts and we are doing well. No doubt, it has been a difficult time, but the response from recruits has been very positive. Our coaches have developed a very good relationship with recruits and those prospects have developed an affinity for our coaches and the University of Miami, as well as the City of Miami and all it has to offer. The stature of our football program has been built over the years through a combination of an excellent academic institution and a football program committed to achieving excellence. It is bigger than any single individual and we expect to have an outstanding class of signees to announce on February 7.”
