COVERING THE HURRICANES
Interview requests for Miami baseball student-athletes and coaches must be submitted to Josh White (joshwhite@miami.edu) in all instances. The Miami communications staff will make every effort to schedule a time to accommodate those requests, based on time constraints, class schedules and other obligations.
MEDIA CREDENTIALS
Requests for working media and photo credentials should be submitted to Josh White (joshwhite@miami.edu) by sports editors or sports directors of accredited media. There are no season credentials for 2023-24. Credentials will be distributed on a single-game basis only.
Requests should be made as early as possible and should be limited to working media only. Requests made within two days of the game may not be considered. Media members may pick up their single-game credential at the media will call table located at the front of Alex Rodriguez Park.
LIVE BROADCASTS
It is not permissible for any non-rights holder to broadcast over the air, stream over the internet (audio or video), or transmit in any other way, any live event without the consent of the University of Miami athletics department.
Live events include varsity contests, press conferences (including but not limited to weekly scheduled and postgame press conferences) and any other group media availability. Exceptions may be made for any major newsbreaking event. Failure to follow this policy will result in having credentials revoked.
POSTGAME INTERVIEWS
Miami head coach J.D. Arteaga and select student-athletes will meet with the media in-person at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field in the team meeting room after each game.
PARKING
Parking is available in the lots adjacent to Alex Rodriguez Park, as well as on the street, via the PayByPhone app. There are no parking passes for Miami baseball games.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Miami follows NCAA and ACC rules regarding media representatives photographing games. Only properly credentialed photographers will be allowed in the designated photo areas at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field as specified by the NCAA and ACC.
NO photographers will be permitted to shoot from inside the field of play. All photographers must remain in the designated photo areas outside of the field of play. Photo credentials are subject to revocation by the Miami athletics communications office at any time.
SCOUTS
Professional scouts may request credentials and are permitted to attend games. Approved individuals will be assigned a designated section and row to sit in. Scouts will be required to follow all of the same protocols as media members.
ARCHIVING OF EVENT AUDIO/VIDEO
It is not permissible for any non-rights holder to post, place, broadcast, or make available in any other way, audio or video event content that exceeds three (3) minutes in length. Events are defined as varsity contests, press conferences and any other group media availability. Archiving may not begin until the conclusion of the entire event. It is not permissible to reuse or post any video produced and/or owned by the University of Miami athletics department without the consent of the University.
UNAUTHORIZED CREDENTIAL USE
Credentials will be issued to working media only. Media credentials are not transferable and use by anyone other than members of the working media is unauthorized. Media credentials used in an unauthorized manner will be revoked immediately. Anyone allowing unauthorized individuals to use credentials will have their credentials revoked for the remainder of the year.
