Served as Miami’s set-up man to All-America closer Kyle Bellamy early in the 2009 season before going down with a season-ending injury in early April … Is expected to return to a similar role this season, likely to be one of Miami’s go-to guys late in games … Is a power right-hander with effective use of both the curve and the slider.

?Was having a successful season before he got injured, allowing just one earned run in his first 11 appearances (12 2/3 innings)
