Michael Sanders red-shirted in the 2005 season and will red-shirt this season to rehabilitate a shoulder injury … is one of Miami’s first successful ventures into the state of Georgia … a hard-working right-handed pitcher with good size … deceptive delivery that keeps hitters off balance … very competitive pitcher that attacks hitters.

Eagles Landing
Played for head coach Troy Baker at Eagle’s Landing High School … pitched and played shortstop for the Eagles. Senior (2004): posted a 5-1 record on the mound while hitting three home runs while playing shortstop … a team captain for the Eagles during his senior season … earned first-team All-Region honors. Junior (2003): went 4-2 on the mound for Eagle’s Landing with a 1.72 ERA … at the plate hit four home runs … earned first-team All-Region honors … team advanced to the first round of the state playoffs.
