In the mix for a starting spot in the rotation …Should see a jump in innings this season after averaging 29 innings per year his first two seasons in Coral Gables … Made 25 appearances in his two seasons at UM, including five starts in 2008 and one in 2007.

SOPHOMORE – 2008
•Tossed a career-high six innings against NJIT (3/19), allowing just one earned run en route to his first career win
•Tossed a scoreless inning in relief against Lehigh (3/4)
•Garnered all five of his starts in a span of 29 days (3/12 – 4/9)
•Struck out a season-high four batters against Bethune-Cookman (3/25) in his second win of the season
•Won his third consecutive game on April 1 versus FAU, allowing three earned runs in five innings of work
•Lasted at least five innings in four of his five starts
•Tossed a scoreless inning in relief against Lehigh (3/4)
•Garnered all five of his starts in a span of 29 days (3/12 – 4/9)

FRESHMAN – 2007
•Compiled a 5.65 ERA and struck out 22 in 28.2 innings of work
•Tossed two scoreless innings in an ACC Tournament meeting against Wake Forest (5/26)
•Against Duke (5/19), tossed two scoreless innings and limited the Blue Devils to one hit
•Struck out a career-high four batters in 1.2 innings of work against Wake Forest (5/11)
•Made first career start against NC State (4/15), allowing three earned runs on three hits in an inning of work
•Matched a season-long with a three-inning outing at Virginia (3/23), allowing two runs on four hits while striking out two
•Pitched two scoreless innings against the then-No. 1 Tar Heels in Chapel Hill (3/9), allowing just one hit
•Against St. Bonaventure (3/6), set a career-high with three-inning outing while striking out three
•Started the exhibition game against the Florida Marlins (2/27), tossing a scoreless inning while striking out one and allowing one hit

PREP CAREER
•Played for one year at Nova High School and three years at Cooper City High School
•Two-time team MVP at Nova
•Played third base and was a designated hitter, in addition to pitching
•First Team All-County and First Team All-State selection as a senior
•Named team MVP his senior season at Nova after going 12-1 with a 2.00 ERA, 99 strikeouts and one save his senior year
