Earned a 5-3 record in 2010, seeing action in 34 games – all in relief appearances, posting a 3.23 ERA… His ERA was the fourth-lowest on the team, and the second-lowest of any Hurricanes pitcher returning to the 2011 squad… Tallied a team season-high tying five saves alongside former pitcher David Gutierrez… Tossed 47.1 innings, claiming 59 strikeouts and walking just 12 batters… Went a season-high three innings on the hill twice – at NC State (Mar. 26), vs. Boston College (Mar. 14)… Fanned a career-high seven batters at NC State (Mar. 26) while allowing just a single hit and walking one in the `Canes 6-5 win over the Wolfpack… Picked up his first win of the season while going three frames against Boston College (Mar. 14), scattering three hits, allowing an unearned run and striking out four batters… Added another win with 2.2 innings of work, striking out four and walking one against Wake Forest (Apr. 3)… Moved to 3-1 on the year with two innings on the mound against North Carolina (Apr. 18), helping the `Canes sweep the weekend series against the Tar Heels… Had a save against Florida State (Apr. 23) with two strikeouts and one earned run to secure the 6-5 win over the Seminoles… Saw action in two games during the NCAA Coral Gables Regional against Dartmouth (June 4) and Texas A&M (June 7), claiming a strikeout and allowing no runs and a hit in a combined complete inning…

Ranked second on the team appearances (27), trailing only All-America closer Kyle Bellamy’s 30… Finished the year 3-3 with a 4.86 ERA in 53 2/3 innings of work… Ranked fifth on the team with 53 2/3 innings pitched… The only UM pitcher to rank in the staff’s Top 5 in both relief appearances (23) and starts (4)… Had the lowest walk total (11) of any pitcher with 25 or more innings pitched, allowing just 1.8 walks per nine innings pitched… Was the only pitcher to toss 40+ innings and not allow a triple… Had career highs for strikeouts (5) and innings pitched (6) to earn his first win in his third career start (an 8-0 victory against St. Thomas on March 17)… Pitched well in the NCAA Gainesville Regional, allowing just one earned run in 4 2/3 innings in three outings… Allowed just three earned runs from April 14 to May 10 (13 IP in nine appearances)…
