Gonzalez Secures All-ACC Honors

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami women’s tennis player Raquel Gonzalez was named to the All-ACC Second Team in singles, the conference announced Thursday.

Miami has now totaled 51 All-ACC accolades in the 21 years – excluding the COVID-shortened 2020 season – it has been in the league.

Gonzalez earned a career-high singles ranking at No. 35 and leads the team with a 16-6 overall singles record, with six being ranked wins.

The Villanueva de Castellon, Spain, native also took down No. 41 Mia Slama to secure Miami’s win over No. 9 NC State to continue a seven-match win streak.

The Hurricanes will await their NCAA tournament fate on April 27.
