Canes Earn 13 Wins At ITA Southeast Regional
ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team racked up 13 wins at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships.
Going the farthest in the singles draw of the tournament and earning four wins was No. 56 Martin Katz. The junior started his run to the semifinals with dominant wins over opponents from North Florida, Florida, Georgia State and Florida State.
In doubles, the duo of Yannik Rahman and Nacho Serra Sanchez reached the semifinals after claiming three wins over pairs from Georgia State, Kennesaw State and Stetson.
The squad also tallied wins across the singles and doubles draw. No. 3-seeded Antonio Prat and Adrien Burdet claimed a win in the round of 32, while the duo, Rahman and Serra Sanchez totaled five singles wins.
The Canes will travel to Gainesville, Fla., for the University of Florida Invitational running from Oct. 27-29.
