Soccer Earns Academic Achievement

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – United Soccer Coaches announced Thursday its 2019-20 Team Academic Award recipients and the University of Miami is among the honorees.

This marks the 16th time in the last 18 years the Hurricanes have garnered the award, which is given to teams with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in the previous school year.

Miami finished the 2019-20 academic year with a team GPA of 3.50, as well as a program record 3.72 GPA in the spring. Two players received perfect 4.0 marks for the year, while seven other Hurricanes had at least a 3.8 GPA.

Miami will be back in action Thursday at 7 p.m., when it travels to face Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C.
