Williams Earns Second Straight ACC ROW Honor

CORAL GABLES, Fla. –– For the second straight week, redshirt freshman quarterback Jarren Williams pulled in Atlantic Coast Conference honors as the league’s top rookie performer.

Williams was named ACC Rookie of the Week Monday after guiding Miami (2-2) to its second straight home victory, as the host Hurricanes topped Central Michigan, 17-12, at Hard Rock Stadium on Sept. 21.

Williams completed at least 70 percent of his passes for the third straight start, finishing 17-for-24 (70.8%) for 250 yards with one passing touchdown and no interceptions.

For the season, Williams has completed 72.6% of his passes and thrown for 1,027 yards with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions.
