Hurricane Club Launches The New Miami Fund
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami’s Hurricane Club announced the launch of The New Miami Fund Wednesday.
Donors to The New Miami Fund will have their name etched on one of the custom leather U student-athlete chairs in the Edgerrin James Football Team Auditorium. With only 175 opportunities available, this is an exclusive opportunity for Hurricanes fans to make a long-lasting mark on the future of Miami Football. Seat naming opportunities are available with a $5,000 gift that can be made in full or over five years.
“It’s time to take Hurricanes Football to the next level and our passionate fans can help us get there,” head coach Manny Diaz said. “We need U fans everywhere to be an active part of The New Miami by supporting The New Miami Fund. Your donation will help our program excel on all fronts and offers a unique opportunity to have your name in our team auditorium.”
Gifts toward The New Miami Fund are tax-deductible and donors will also receive a photo of their personalized chair with a personal letter from Diaz upon completion.
“Coach Diaz is bringing an exciting new mentality to our football program,” said Jesse Marks, senior associate athletic director for development. “With The New Miami Fund we aim to raise $1 million this year to help jump-start this new era of Hurricanes Football. This a great opportunity to leave your family name on one of the most storied programs in college football while assisting Coach Diaz as he begins to make his mark on the Hurricanes football program.”
