Oracle ITA Masters Final to Re-Air on ESPNU
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Sunday at the Malibu Racquet Club, junior Estela Perez-Somarriba of the University of Miami women’s tennis team won the Oracle ITA Masters singles championship.
The nation’s third-ranked player and tournament’s fourth seed, Perez-Somarriba defeated Pepperdine’s Evgeniya Levashova, 6-3, 6-4.
In addition to the match airing live on ESPN3, it is set to be re-broadcast both Tuesday at ESPNU at 5 p.m. ET.
“Having ESPN involved in live coverage of the Oracle ITA Masters is a great opportunity for our exceptional student-athletes to showcase their on-court skill and talent on a global scale,” ITA CEO Timothy Russell said. “On behalf of the ITA and Oracle, we want to thank ESPN for providing this platform to college tennis.”
Perez-Somarriba’s matchup with Levashova, as well as the Oracle ITA Masters men’s final shown Monday, will be the first collegiate tennis action aired on ESPNU since May 23, 2017 when the network televised the men’s and women’s NCAA Team Championship title matches.
