Men's Tennis Wraps Up Fall Season at CCB Collegiate Invitational
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team will have its last outing for 2017 this weekend, when it competes at the CCB Collegiate Invitational, co-hosted by the University of Alabama and The Country Club of Birmingham.
The Hurricanes return to action after four weeks of just practice. Last time Miami competed was at the ITA Southeast Regional, hosted by Georgia Tech Oct. 13-16. Freshman Bojan Jankulovski made the deepest run in the competition, advancing to the third round of singles competition.
Jankulovski will be one of the four Hurricanes who will travel to Birmingham, Ala., this week and one of the three freshmen to make the trip. He will be joined by classmates Adria Soriano and Tatsuki Shimamoto, as well as senior Christian Langmo.
The CCB Collegiate Invitational will begin with doubles play as early as 9 a.m. Friday. Singles competition at the country club will begin at 10 a.m. Friday.
Miami men’s tennis resumes a few weeks after the New Year holidays. The Hurricanes’ first contest of the spring season will be at Tulane on Jan. 19.
