The Hurricanes improved to 9-12 all time in the ACC Championship, after they defeated Boston College, 5-1, in the opening round Wednesday.

The win over Boston College was the Canes first ACC Championship victory since 2010.

Miami (9-12, 2-9 ACC) will enter the match with a trio of Canes represented in the ITA rankings, as junior Piotr Lomacki checks in at No. 64 in singles, as announced Tuesday.

Joining Lomacki for the fourth week in a row, seniors Max Andrews and Jesse Flores form the nation’s No. 55 doubles tandem.

Thursday’s matchup will mark the 47th meeting between the Hurricanes and Blue Devils, with the all-time series even at 23 matches apiece. Miami dropped its most recent matchup against then-No. 46 Duke, 6-1, on April 15.
