Piotr Lomacki Ranked No. 73 in Singles

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – As the University of Miami men’s tennis team prepares for its second road match of the season Sunday against No. 34 University of Louisville, junior Piotr Lomacki represents the Canes in the ITA singles rankings, released Tuesday, at No. 73.

Playing No. 1, Lomacki is 7-4 to start his junior campaign, earning a pair of victories against fellow ranked opponents. The native of Poland defeated then-No. 51 Jack Findel-Hawkins of North Florida, 6-1, 6-1, before taking down Minnesota’s then-No. 68 Matic Spec, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).

Miami (6-6, 0-3 ACC) heads into the matchup looking to snap a three-match skid, after falling to then-No. 17 Georgia Tech, 4-3, then-No. 39 Minnesota, 4-3, and at then-No. 28 Florida State, 7-0.

The Hurricanes will travel to Louisville, Ky., Sunday, March 26 at noon, in a matchup against the 34th-ranked Cardinals.
