Class of 2016 Graduate: Stephanie Wagner
Stephanie Wagner is a member of the University of Miami women’s tennis from Amberg, Germany, and is graduating this weekend with a degree in economics, so we caught up with her prior to her big day.
This summer/fall I plan to go home to Germany and enjoy my time with my family and friends. I will also play club tennis for my team in Germany and in lots of tournaments.
Playing for the Hurricanes women’s tennis team was the best time of my life. One of the best decisions I have ever made was to come to Miami and I enjoyed every second of it
In four years at Miami, I have learned a lot. I have grown and matured as a person and have also improved as a tennis player. I have found a second family through teammates and coaches, which I am truly thankful for
One of my best memories at Miami was winning the ACC championship in 2013. Also, playing in New York at the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships two years in a row and reaching the semifinals both times was one of my best memories.
A class/professor at Miami that I really enjoyed was Health Economics with Esteban Petruzello, who was one of the coolest teachers I had at UM!
Coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews has impacted me in such a positive way since I stepped the first time on campus. She has always believed in me and exactly knew how to make me a better tennis player, but most importantly, a better person
