#75 Miami Hosts #41 NC State & Louisville
CORAL GABLES, Fla.– The No. 75 University of Miami men’s tennis team will return to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center to play its last two home matches of the season. The Hurricanes will face off against No. 41 NC State on Friday, April 8 at 2:30 p.m. and Louisville at 12 p.m. on Sunday, April 10.

Miami, which is 7-11 overall and 2-6 in the ACC, enter the weekend ranked No. 75 in the nation, with Piotr Lomacki ranked No. 43 in singles, while Bernard Tefel and Max Andrews check in at No. 66 in the ITA doubles poll.
The Canes come off a 4-3 loss to the Clemson Tigers at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center in South Carolina last weekend. Tefel gave a commanding performance against the Tigers, winning his sets, 6-1, 6-2. Andrews delivered a shutout second set walking away with a 6-4, 6-0 victory. Then-No. 38 Piotr Lomacki fought hard in the first set at the top spot to deliver a 7-5, 6-1 win.
Miami has only played three matches in program history against Louisville, edging the Cardinals, 2-1. Against NC State, Miami holds a 15-4 overall series record.
The Wolfpack are 15-11 (4-5 ACC) and Louisville is 11-13 (0-8 ACC). Recently the two teams faced off at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville, Ky., where the Wolfpack defeated the Cardinals, 4-3.
No. 41 NC State enters Friday’s match with three ranked singles players: No. 55 Simon Norenius, No. 93 Nick Horton and No. 119 Thomas Weigel. The Wolfpack also claims one ranked doubles pair with Nick Horton and Ian Dempster at No. 69. Louisville sees one doubles pair break into the ITA rankings this week, as Jeffrey Brown and Alex Gornet come in at No. 81.
