CORAL GABLES, Fla. The University of Miami women’s tennis team is No. 12 in this week’s Oracle/ITA team rankings, as announced Wednesday afternoon.

This is the second-consecutive week Miami (4-2, 1-0 ACC) is ranked No. 12 in the country. The Hurricanes have been ranked in the top 13 the entire spring, peaking at No. 11 in the Jan. 27 edition of the rankings.

Each of Miami’s last five opponents are currently ranked in the top 35 and the Hurricanes went 3-2 against that group, including posting a 7-0 victory over No. 24 Georgia Tech in the first match of ACC play.

Six ACC teams are ranked in the top 25, the second-most of any conference. The ACC leads the way with a quartet of schools ranked in the top 15: No. 2 North Carolina, No. 7 Duke, No. 9 Virginia and No. 12 Miami.

Updated singles and doubles rankings will come out Feb. 17. The Hurricanes currently have four ranked singles players, including the lone top-10 duo in the nation, and two ranked doubles duos.

Miami returns to the court Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. when it faces second-ranked North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C.
