Rincon Adds Fermin Calvo to 2015 Roster
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami men’s tennis coach Mario Rincon has added Fermin Calvo to the 2016 roster, the school announced Wednesday.
“We are very excited to have Fermin join us in January,” said Rincon. “He’s an amazing young man who will add a lot to our program. He is a great competitor with powerful strokes, consistency and great footwork.”
Calvo, of Argentina, has been coached by his father Cipriano, who has coached various players to the ATP Tour, including Carlos Berlocq (as high as No. 37 in ATP), and many others.
Miami opens the spring tennis slate on Jan. 16 against St. John’s then hosts Florida Atlantic on Jan. 17, both at 2 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
